NOT JUST ANOTHER CAP COMPANY!

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I had a booth recently at one of my customers supplier trade show event. I met a lot of good people and enlightened them on “Promotional Caps from T.C.& B.” As I stood there between visitors and distributors, what struck me most was what I heard and saw from the sales people that did not stop. Both verbally and visually they would say “Just another promotional cap supplier..“!

We “ARE NOT” Just another promotional cap company! And here is why……………

  1. Spec and pre-production sample ball caps are no charge including freight to deliver them to your door.
  2. We do not do virtual or graphic samples we do actual physical ball caps and photograph them for you.
  3. Our sample ball caps are fast 1-5 days for photo and about 5 more for physical covers 95%.
  4. In most cases we have 1 week production time. We ship orders approved the prior week every Saturday air and ocean. So our 60 day program is 60 days. And our 21 day program is 21 days. Not just arbitrary meaningless numbers.
  5. We can also deliver orders in 10 days and sometimes less right to your door.
  6. We give each order personal attention to make sure the best possible impression is made.
  7. You can pick our standard styles or provide yours. From basic to exotic.

We have no desire to be “JUST ANOTHER PROMOTIONAL CAP SUPPLIER!” or even “EVERYONE’S PROMOTIONAL CAP SUPPLIER”.
We do want to be yours.

See our newly launched 48 pc program. See if “JUST ANOTHER PROMOTIONAL CAP SUPPLIER” can do this!

Product Editors

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

We have been working on a simple to use product editor for the last 3 years. We have gone through multiple versions of this trying to make an exponentially complex problem adhere to such simplicity that most everybody could use it. In this blog I am intending to walk through a list of versions and problems we ran into, and the solutions we found to resolve this.

Product Editor 1.2

Flash Version: 7/8
Product: Baseball Cap
Last Modified: Jun 26, 2006

Features:

  • Embroidery Image Loading – Loads embroidery images to flash from external source.
  • Color Fill – Interactive panel filling using a generic paint bucket tool.
  • Option Menu – Displayed options to fill certain colors for ease of filling.
  • Color Swapping – Allowed a user to select a color scheme and then swap them around to create new cap designs.
  • Data insertion – Allowed colors, embroidery, positioning to be added to the Editor through flash variables.

Tools:

  • Paint Bucket – Allowed user to click and select color on each panel of the cap.
  • Embroidery Move – Allowed user to drag the embroidery to fix positioning.
  • Embroidery Rotate – Allowed user to click and drag the embroidery in a circle to align it with the direction it needed to be.

Issues:

  • Input variables were static not allowing adjustments to be made to the selection on the same page
  • Colors did included only a single fabric so it was not possible to have two fabrics on a single cap
  • Colors and fabrics were selected on previous page so to change anything user had to back up and then come back.
  • No way to print in multiple browsers and platforms
